Sometimes there just isn’t enough time in the day to get a “real” review written. It has been that kind of week where the days seem shorter and full of RL stuff. I’ve still been reading but haven’t had a chance and probably won’t get to writing full reviews for these books. They aren’t ARCs so I don’t feel that bad when I can’t write a review.
The Lightning-Struck Heart by TJ Klune
I really enjoyed this book and I’m sure everything that could be said about it has been. I loved the snark, the UST, the sweetness of Sam and the love between both Sam and Ryan even when they didn’t realize it for themselves. I laughed a ton and fully appreciated the different personalities of all the characters. So why not 5 stars? Well, the monologues/character “arguments” were a little much at times. Sometimes they were perfect and fully entertaining and other times they dragged on and I wanted them over so I could get to the actual purpose of the conversation. I’m a fan of this book and would definitely recommend.
A Cobra’s Charm by Meghan Maslow
That was short and
sweet sexy and sooo good. The only way I like snakes are dead or behind glass at the zoo… but I could totally go for a Jiri and his honey badger Miksa.
